Oracle HR & Payroll Functional Consultant

Description: Our client is a leading provider of infrastructure services, construction and property developments, who sustainably deliver vital services to communities in the UK.

They are looking for an Oracle HR and Payroll functional consultant with technical knowledge, to provide necessary functional support of the ERP solution for HR and Payroll allowing the business continued effective use of the Oracle ERP system.

The role includes a requirement to monitor performance, prioritise and manage changes, manage defects and incidents, ensure maintenance of all documentation. The role includes all interfaces and related applications.

Minimum Years Experience: 5 Years

5 Key Skills Required:

– 5 years of experience in functional support of Oracle ERP applications as an Oracle HR and Payroll functional consultant.
– Experience of working with and challenging ERP software vendors.
– Familiarity with working with outsourced/offshore resources.
– Experience of working within multi-function ERP functional development and support teams.
– Committed team player who can manage vertically and horizontally, with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and influencing skills.

5 Areas of Responsibility:

– Contribute new ideas for continuous improvement to create improved stability and functionality.
– Work with Group Functions, IT and users representing business functions to develop functional requirements, assess change proposals.
– Manage business change initiatives and lead the delivery of new developments to deliver approved changes, and support testing and issue resolution during User Acceptance testing.
– Maintain skill levels, and functional area expertise, advising the business on new developments of potential benefit and advantage to the business.
– Work with Outsource provider, other IT teams and functional counterparts to provide governance and quality assurance, best practice input to system and process design and Work Instructions for offshore team and the business.

Engagement Type: Implementation Description: We are looking for Managers to lead teams to deliver Oracle ERP solutions, this means leading the design and implementation of Oracle ERP (On-Premise and Cloud) Solutions across a range of client industries and leading customer engagements and advising on Oracle ERP related topics. Minimum Years Experience: 5 Years 5 Key Skills Required: - At least three Oracle Payroll Cloud implementation experience is a must. - Specialist functional knowledge of Oracle Payroll and at least three Oracle HCM Cloud modules. - A proven track record of managing work streams in a consulting (or project) environment with direct responsibility for a small team. - Ability to successfully track and influence project financials, with experience in managing significant budgets. - Experience in working effectively and building trusted relationships with stakeholders and sponsors at all levels. 5 Areas of Responsibility: - Be responsible for the efficient end-to-end management of Oracle HCM projects and programmes across diverse sectors, providing support and leadership to multi-disciplinary team members to deliver against client objectives and manage risk. - Provide insight, innovation and thought leadership to clients on the latest thinking across the HR Cloud industry as a Subject Matter Expert. - Challenge clients to think commercially from a holistic organisational perspective and not solely from an HR viewpoint. - Actively contribute to the growth of the business by identifying sales opportunities and developing bid and marketing materials. - Report on client project risks and opportunities.

Engagement Type: Consultancy Practice Description: Performs advisory, solution design and implementation services to address the Payroll transformation and other business needs throughout the enterprise by leveraging the full suite (or subset) of Oracle HR and Payroll Cloud products. Responsible for processes within the Payroll work stream throughout the implementation, managing the client's requirements in line with delivery plans, agreed budget and the overall design, promoting a strong working relationship and team spirit with the programme team and assisting the solution architect, project manager, and Payroll lead with the delivery of all key milestones. Minimum Years Experience: 3 Years 5 Key Skills Required: - Evidence of appropriate Oracle vendor formal training and skills development (other vendor training experience and knowledge would be a benefit). - Knowledge of software development life cycles, key metrics and reports. - Experience with Fast Formula in a Cloud Payroll environment. - Experience in integrating Oracle Cloud Payroll applications, both inbound and outbound. - Proven ability delivering complex and time sensitive projects. 5 Areas of Responsibility: - Contribute to and inform the end-to-end solution from the initial conception through to configuration and testing. - Responsible for documenting business requirements, Payroll configurations and transformational goals to achieve our client's objectives. - Responsible for the specification and documentation of Payroll integration designs and extensions. - Support the Solution Architect and the Project Manager in managing scope, plans and budget. - Lead their areas of the Oracle Cloud Payroll work stream and work with and write Fast Formula.
